STUDIOTAMAT is an Italian architecture and design studio based in Rome. It was born in 2014 from an encounter between Tommaso Amato, Matteo Soddu and Valentina Paiola, who are united by their passion for energy and environmental issues, to industrial design and to the study of the detail.
Its design method is based on the search for balance between usability of space and functionality of materials, to create atmospheres that redefine the multiple attitudes of living. Working 360° on the design space, from the architectural elements to the furnishing components, the studio has a flexiblework team, comprising collaborators, artisans, companies andhigh-level workers, who care deeply for all the spaces ofeveryday life.
STUDIOTAMAT mainly deals with residential architecture, interior design, exhibition design and retail projects. In 2015, it won the competition for the renovation of the Rowing Club on the Tiber River in Rome, and the following year, that of the Italian Pavilionfor the 67th Berlin Film Festival. Condominio Monti, a boutique hotel overlooking the Colosseum, renovated in 2019 which has been published in various architecture and design magazines. Currently, the studio is working on the sites of various private residences, including a villa on Lake Bolsena and a new restaurant in Ponte Milvio, Rome.





















STUDIOTAMAT è uno studio italiano di architettura e design con base a Roma. Nasce nel 2014 dall’incontro di Tommaso Amato, Matteo Soddu e Valentina Paiola, uniti da una particolare attenzione alle tematiche energetiche e ambientali, al design industriale e allo studio del dettaglio.
Il suo metodo progettuale si basa sulla ricerca di un equilibrio tra fruibilità dello spazio e funzionalità dei materiali, per creare atmosfere che mirano a ridefinire le molteplici attitudini dell’abitare. Lavorando a tutto tondo sullo spazio progettuale, dagli elementi architettonici alle componenti di arredo, lo studio vanta un team di lavoro flessibile, composto da collaboratori, artigiani, imprese e maestranze di alto livello, che riservano cura sartoriale a tutti gli spazi del quotidiano.
STUDIOTAMAT si occupa principalmente di architettura residenziale, interior design, exhibition design e retail. Nel 2015,vince il concorso per la ristrutturazione di un Circolo di Canottaggio sul fiume Tevere a Roma e l’anno successivo progetta il Padiglione Italia per il 67° Festival del Cinema di Berlino. Condominio Monti, boutique hotel affacciato sul Colosseo, ristrutturato nel 2019, è stato pubblicato su diverse riviste di settore. Attualmente, lo studio ha all’attivo diversi cantieri di appartamenti privati, una villa sul lago di Bolsena e un nuovo ristorante a Ponte Milvio, Roma.
