CROMATICA

PLAN-09.png

The building dates back to the 1930s and is characterized by two entrances and two staircases, the main and the service staircase. The floor plan has a C-shaped layout with the longitudinal front facing the 100 square meter terrace. The initial distribution included many small rooms connected by a large gallery. “We demolished everything possible, reconstructing only the essential”: the result is a fluid and luminous space. The transformation of the apartment is based on pure geometric shapes and color contrasts on the walls. The distribution patterns are modern, classic doors disappear where not essential, making room for sliding paneling that alters the perception of the spaces. The visual permeability between the interior and exterior, especially visible along the gallery con necting the sleeping area to the living area, breaks down the perception of the walls, allowing the vegetation to always be within reach.
